A brief review of the move to Las Vegas
This past year has been one of the most challenging that I can remember. Lots of highs and lows. Leaving Hawaii and getting out of my comfort zone was all about forcing myself to grow and expand my horizons, but it didn’t come without collateral damage. Leaving family and my support system was a consequence that I underestimated. It’s crazy how important it is to be around the people you love, and I guess valentines day is a day to reflect on that. But I’m getting through it and it’s made me stronger as a result.
Vegas has already given me so much. Tattooing out here has expanded my vision and improved my hand. Seeing the level of skill and the state of mind that my colleagues have is an absolute inspiration.
I guess my point is, taking that leap of faith and betting on myself hasn’t been easy, or all positive, but I’m glad I did it. Purpose is more important than happiness. My purpose is to make a beautiful mark on this world and I gotta pay to play.
